When did you develop a fascination with fashion?

Growing up I have always been fascinated by fashion. As I began to develop my "personal style," I cultivated my taste as a style maker.

How would you define your personal style?

I strive for versatility. My "personal style" is simple and easily relatable to everybody.

On memorable projects:

Some of my most enjoyable projects has been the Markham partnership and the recent Diesel campaign I was part of.

What are the top essentials every man should have in his wardrobe?

A good pair of formal shoes and a good pair of sneakers, with these two items you're able to play with outfits.

What challenges do you face as a style maker?

Most of the times I have the challenge of people not understanding the way I dress at times and only jumping on it at a later stage. Professional brands often want me to conform to their ideas forgetting that I am a trendsetter and someone who rather starts a trend as opposed to adapting to one.

Who's your favorite designer?

Internationally I love Diesel, as much as they are a fashion brand, their campaigns are compelling and always convey a message that deals with social issues. Locally in South Africa, I love the growth that brands like Imprint, Young & Lazy and Sol Sol are having.

On upcoming projects:

After wrapping up the amazing #GoWithTheFlaw campaign with Diesel, I took on a summer campaign with Country Road, an international brand from Australia.

What is your dream project?

I would love to work on a project with Pharrell Williams, hopefully with G Star Raw and my dream job would be working as the GQ fashion editor to bring a new perspective into menswear.
